The Nashville Oktoberfest is bigger than ever this year. Organizers have expanded the festival from 1 day to 3 days and added several new features. Guests can get a bird’s eye view of the party, thanks to a 200 foot zip line installed above 5th avenue. This is the first ever zip line over downtown Germantown.
They’ve also added a 500 foot beer slide on Monroe Street. It’s like a normal slip-and-slide, except they’ve replaced the water with beer. Fox17 is told that ponchos will be provided for guests who don’t want their clothes to get soaked in suds.
Oktoberfest Organizer Michael King tells Fox17, “People say it’s not Munich. And I say you’re right, this is Nashville, Oktoberfest Nashville style. If Munich had our music they’d probably do it our way.
Admission to Nashville Oktoberfest is free. They’ll have food vendors, a kids area, live music, a pup parade, a wiener dog race, and of course plenty of German beer. There are 2 VIP lounges that you can pay extra for, and then all your beer is included and you can avoid the long lines, and get a prime parking spot in Germantown. A one-day VIP pass is $65 and a three-day pass is $99.
