I heard the festival is FREE. Is this correct?
Oktoberfest is a event free to the public – ADMISSION IS FREE. There are various craft vendors selling their products, plus delicious food vendors offering your favorite multiple dining options – so you may want to bring a few dollars to sample their wares! Where is the Oktoberfest?
The Nashville Oktoberfest is spread out over multiple city blocks in the historic neighborhood of Germantown, near downtown Nashville. Click here for the Oktoberfest map and directions. You will also find a FREE PARKING map showing lots allocated by the city for free Oktoberfest parking.

Is the Oktoberfest family-friendly?
Absolutely! The Oktoberfest is appropriate for kids of all ages. We even have a street dedicated to children’s activities and a Kids Zone. Check out our Kids Zone page here.
Are dogs allowed since this is an outdoor festival?
Yes! The Oktoberfest is pet-friendly! A couple stipulations: all animals must comply with city leash laws. Please be aware that almost 150,000 people attended in 2015, so the streets will be very crowded and busy.
We have a few events specifically for dogs and their owners! March in the Annual Pup Parade as part of the Oktoberfest Parade with your dog, you can even win a prize! Or enter your pet in the Dachshund Derby races held in Morgan Park! More details on both events can be found here: Dogtoberfest

There are several large lots adjacent to Germantown that we have secured to use as FREE PARKING areas for Oktoberfest visitors. You can see them on the Festival maps located here.

What about the Oktoberfest 5K Race?
The race will be held this year for the 16th time in a row. All the details, including how to register and ways to participate, can be found on the Nashville Oktoberfest 5K Race & Run page.
I live or work in Germantown. Will roads be closed, etc?
The Oktoberfest is one of the largest fall festivals in the country, and multiple city blocks will be closed to regular traffic. We have more information here about Road Closures and Parking Permits for Residents, etc
